When Apple releases major updates to its operating systems, it usually also makes some changes to the Apple Business and Apple School Manager user agreements. And it requests that users approve the new versions of these agreements so that they can continue to benefit from these services.

Apple, which released version 27 of its operating systems, recently made an email notification stating that it would make a change to the user agreements. According to the email that came, on September 29, 2026, AB administrators need to enter the portal and approve the agreement. This email is sent to users who have Admin privileges in Apple Business Manager.

What Happens If I Don’t Approve?

Until September 29, 2026, the devices you enrolled in MDM via AB continue to be managed. There’s no change regarding the configuration profiles and/or applications they previously received. However, if you don’t approve the change in the agreement, you cannot enroll a new device via AB after that day. And in addition, you also cannot distribute the applications you purchased via VPP.

The approval process is extremely simple. It’s enough to just enter the AB or ASM portals after September 29, 2026. The renewed agreements will come up in front of you automatically. You approve them by checking a box each.

You can see copies of the agreement changes you approved in previous periods and download a copy by clicking the Legal Terms link under the Settings section in Apple Business.
